Among the 2012 Grammy Award nominees in the “Best Classical Compendium” category is the album “Penderecki: Fonogrammi; Horn Concerto; Partita; The Awakening Of Jacob; Anaklasis; De Natura Sonoris", recorded in Warsaw by the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Antoni Wit. The CD includes six compositions presenting different aspects of Krzysztof Penderecki’s work – from picturesque “Horn Concerto", to orchestral “Partita" and neo-Romantic “The Awakening Of Jacob", to compositionally complex “Anaklasis" and jazzy “De Natura Sonoris".

In addition, two nominations were awarded to Paweł Sęk, a composer, producer and sound engineer from Przemyśl, who has worked in Los Angeles for a long time. The artist was nominated for his work as an engineer/mixer in the “Album of the Year” (“Some Nights" CD) and “Recording of the Year” categories (“We Are Young" track from the same CD).

The 55th Grammy Awards ceremony for 2012 is set to take place on 10 February.
