Songs of Transitoriness in Gdańsk

Krzysztof Penderecki’s Symphony No. 8 Songs of Transitoriness will resound again in Poland. This time, we will hear the work during the Chopin Year in Baltic Philharmonic Hall, at 7 pm on 28th February. The programme of the concert includes also Sławomir Zamuszko’s 89 Degrees North, and – quite naturally – Fryderyk Chopin’s Piano concerto in E minor, Op. 11. The number of artists includes Agnieszka Rehlis represented by Ludwig van Beethoven Association. She will perform with Andriej Szibko (piano), Iwona Hossa (soprano), Witold Żołądkiewicz (baritone), G. Shirma State Philharmonic Choir in Minsk, and the Symphony Orchestra of the Polish Baltic Philharmonic in Gdańsk. The concert will be conducted by Kai Baumann.
