Krzysztof Penderecki awarded honorary doctorate by Academy of Music in Gdańsk

The ceremony of awarding Krzysztof Penderecki with the honorary doctorate will be held at the Academy of Music in Gdańsk on Thursday, 6th November and will be the crowning of the Academy’s jubilee celebrations. The concert following the formal session of the Academy’s Senate will be conducted by Maestro Penderecki; in programme: The Scottish Symphony (Symphony No. 3) by Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy and Concerto Grosso for three cellos and orchestra by Krzysztof Penderecki. The Italian soloists Enrico Bronz and Stefano Cerato will be accompanied by Wiktor Jasman, a young graduate of the Academy of Music in Gdańsk, and the Academy’s Symphonic Orchestra.
