Artur Ruciński – songs and arias

During a meeting with music lovers, Artur Ruciński will be signing his latest record Pieśni i arie – Songs and Arias at Warsaw’s empik Junior at 6 p.m. on 3rd December. The meeting will be chaired by Aleksander Laskowski, a well-known music journalist. The CD features recordings of Mieczysław Karłowicz’s songs and arias from Pyetr Tchaikovsky operas Eugene Onegin and The Queen of Spades, Richard Wagner’s Tannhäuser, Charles Gounod’s Faust, and Giuseppe Verdi’s Don Carlos – all performed by Artur Ruciński. The Ludwig van Beethoven Association extends warm thanks to Mr Eyal Lahav, CEO of empik, and the entire empik team for their involvement and support in national promotion of the CD in empik stores all over Poland.
The material for the record was selected by the artist himself, and the recordings are the result of long-term cooperation between Artur Ruciński with Łukasz Borowicz and Polish Radio Orchestra.
The album is a musical portrait of the eminent soloist and at the same time an interesting suggestion for all enthusiasts of Mieczysław Karłowicz: eminent Polish composer, whose death centenary we commemorate this year.
The disc is recommended by Polish Radio 2, and by the Ludwig and Beethoven Association extending its patronage over eminent young Polish artists.
