Bartmiński Rafał

Rafał Bartmiński is an alumnus of the Katowice Academy of Music where he studied singing with Eugeniusz Sąsiadek, attended master classes of Helena Łazarska, Christian Elsner, Ralf Döring and Ryszard Karczykowski. He is the winner of the Ada Sari Singing Competition in Nowy Sącz; in 2001 he was hailed the most promising Polish tenor at the Moniuszko International Singing Competition in Warszawa; he also holds the second prize from the 6th edition of this competition (2007). He started appearing in concert already as a student and sang in oratoria by Bach, Beethoven, Haendel and Mozart in Polish concert halls. He also toured France and Italy. After his graduation, he was engaged by the Chamber Music Opera in Warszawa where he made his debut as Lensky in Tchaikovsky's Eugene Onegin. He also performs at the National Opera House. His repertoire includes operas by Mozart, Donizetti, Rossini (debut at the Teatr Wielki National Opera House), Penderecki, Tchaikovsky, Verdi, Berg, Puccini.
