In 1995 Suzanne Bernhard started to study singing in Munich with Angelica Vogel and Helmut Deutsch. She received further vocal coaching by Jan-Hendrik Rootering and Dietrich Schneider. She now studies with Carol Byers in Vienna and Richard Trimborn in Munich. Throughout her studies she took part in numerous productions of the Bavarian Theatre Academy. In 1997 she appeared as Susanna in Mozart’s Le nozze di Figaro at the Prinzregententheater in Munich. In 2000 at just 23 she joined the Opernhaus der Landeshauptstadt Kiel where she appeared as Elisa in My Fair Lady, Lisa in Schreker's Christophorus and Violetta in Verdi's La Traviata. She has also made guest appearances in performances of operas by Richard Strauss and Puccini. Her repertoire includes songs, oratoria and chamber music. She has cooperated with Georgian Chamber Orchestra and the Bayerischen Kammerphilharmonie, Ensemble Ader Paris, Neue Hofkapelle München, WDR Sinfonieorchester, Russian National Orchestra, Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, Stuttgarter Bachakademie, Schlossfestspiele Herrenchiemsee and Chorgemeinschaft Neubeuern.
