Braslavsky Elena

For 10 years Duo has performed classical music repertoire as well as contemporary music for cello and piano.

The Braslavsky-Findlay Duo was formed in 1994 when pianist Elena Braslavsky and cellist Jeremy Findlay met in Prague and started to play chamber music together. Since that time they have performed in numerous prestigious venues and festivals including the International Musicians Seminar in Cornwall England, the International Chopin festival in Duszniki Poland, the Rudolfinum in Prague, the Théâtre des Champs Elysées in Paris, Konzerthaus in Berlin, Warsaw Philharmonic, Izumi Hall in Osaka, St. Lawrence Center in Toronto, Melba Hall Melbourne, the Coliseo Theatre in Buenos Aires, and Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center, New York.

In addition to the standard repertoire for cello and piano, they take an active interest in contemporary music. The Czech composer Jiri Gemrot dedicated his Sonata for Cello and Piano to the Braslavsky-Findlay Duo and recently wrote them a Double Concerto for Cello, Piano, and Orchestra which they premiered at the Rudolfinum Hall in Prague with the Prague Philharmonia.
