He completed his vocal training with Professor Jerzy Artysz at the Academy of Music in Warsaw, where he received the medal Magna cum Laude in recognition of his excellence. He was awarded many prizes at the vocal competitions in Duszniki-Zdrój (1998), Barcelona (1999), Vercelli (1999) and Lisbon (2000). In 1999 and 2000, he was nominated for the Paszport Award of the magazine Polityka in the field of music.
In 2000, he made his debut in Warsaw Chamber Opera as Count Almaviva in The Marriage of Figaro by Mozart; there he also created Don Giovanni in the opera by Mozart and Belcore in Donizetti’s Love Potion. He appeared with this opera at Mozart’s Festival in Heerlen, at Al Bustan Festival in Beirut and during their tour of Japan.
He participated in the performance of Symphony no 2 by H.M. Górecki on the 600th Anniversary of the Renewal of Cracow’s Academy (2000), in the world first premiere of Mass of the Angels by C.W. Heimermann performed on the 80th birthday of Pope John Paul II in Rome (2000), in the performance of Handel’s Messiah with New College Choir Oxford conducted by E. Higginbottom (2001), in the first performance of Warsaw Mass by A. Kurylewicz with the choir and orchestra of the National Philharmonic, in the performance of Stabat Mater by K. Szymanowski at the concerts in Oviedo and Gijon conducted by A. Wit (2002). He twice appeared at the Festival Wratislavia Cantans in Mozart’s Requiem conducted by J. Maksymiuk and in Beethoven’s Symphony no 9 conducted by J. Kaspszyk (2002); he also took part in Moniuszko Gala in the Lvov Opera (2002).
He has made recordings for radio and television, and participated in six CD recordings.
