Jakubiak Sara

Sara Jakubiak, soprano, is a second year Masters student under the direction of Doris Yarick-Cross at Yale University. She earned degrees from Aquinas College and the Cleveland Institute of Music, working with Stanley Kolk and Beverley Rinaldi. Recently, Sara performed in Purcell’s Fairy Queen and as Helena in Britten’s Midsummer Night’s Dream with the Orchestra Sinfonica Giuseppe Verdi in Milano. Other previous roles include La Contessa from Le Nozze di Figaro and Varvara from Katya Kabanova. Sara performed with the Southwest Florida Symphony as Musetta from La Boheme. She has also worked as a studio artist for Central City Opera. Recently, she was a soloist in Krzysztof Penderecki’s Credo and Mahler’s Second Symphony with the Yale Philharmonia. She is also a soloist on Yale’s complete recording of Charles Ives’ songs. This summer, Ms. Jakubiak will return to Milano as Georgetta in Puccini’s Il Tabarro. Ms. Jakubiak was a 2005 MacAllister finalist.
