Johansen Ronnie

The bass-bariton Ronnie Johansen was born in Bergen,Norway. He studied and did his diploma at the Royal Opera Academy Kopenhavn under Prof.Susanna Eken from 1987 until 1990. Ronnie Johansen made his international concert debut in 1992 as Leporello in DON GIOVANNI at the Landestheater Innsbruck. He has appeared as soloist in numerous opera houses under such conductors as: G.Sinopoli, A.Pappano, M.Jahnsons, N.Järvi, M.Albrecht, E.Mueller, H.Fricke, M.Elder and H.Blomstedt and with directors such as S.Winge, A.Homoki and G.Wick.
His operatic career was marked by such roles as the title role in THE FLYING DUTCHMAN, Telramund in LOHENGRIN, Schaklowiti in CHOWANSCHTSCHINA and numerous other roles in the italian, french und german opera literature.
His artistic career has also included many recordings and broadcasts of operas. Amongst his most important concerts were Beethovens MISSA SOLEMNIS at the Beethovenhalle in Bonn, Germany, the SYMPHONY NO.9 at the Opera Bastille in Paris and at the AUDITORIO NACIONAL Madrid, Händels MESSIAH in Copenhagen, Strawinsky`s OEDIPUS REX (Tiresian) with Neeme Järvi in Göteborg and London (BBC Proms) and the VERDI-REQUIEM also with Neeme Järvi an Göteborg and Oslo.
