Kaasch Donald

Born in Denver, Colorado, after he finished his musical studies he was admitted to a special programme for young singers at the Lyric Opera of Chicago. Donald Kaasch’s international career has developed rapidly in a short time, bringing him to important theatres all over the world, such as the Opéra Bastille in Paris, the Metropolitan in New York, the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires, the Théâtre Royal de la Monnaie in Brussels, the Salzburg Festival and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino. Donald Kaasch maintains an active concert and recital schedule. He has performed in concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Boston Symphony Orchestra, the Sydney Symphony, the BBC and Royal Philharmonic Symphonies, l’Orchestra de Paris, l’Orchestre National de France and l’Orchestre de la Radio-France. His repertoire includes Die Schöpfung (Orchestra de Lille), Stravinskij’s Perséphone (with the BBC Symphony Orchestra in London and in Brussels, and at the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome), Haydn’s Die Jahreszeiten (Melbourne International Festival), Carmina Burana (Columbus Symphony Orchestra and Orchestre de Paris), Schubert’s Messa in si bem. maggiore (Radio France), Schumann’s Faustszenen (Orchestre de Paris) and Rossini’s Stabat Mater (at the Opéra Bastille with Myung-Whun Chung, in Genoa, in Eindhoven with Het Brabants Orkest and in Lyon).
