Kłosiewicz Władysław

He graduated with honours from the Academy of Music in Warsaw (1979) and Accademia Musicale Chigiana in Siena (Honours Diploma 1978), where he studied with Ruggero Gerlin (student and assistant of Wanda Landowska) and then continued with him in Paris.
He won the international harpsichord competition in Munich (1984), the competitions in interpretation, the basso continuo accompaniment, as well as the performance of contemporary music (Paris 1981, Dijon 1983). The artist tours across Europe, collaborates with eminent soloists and old music ensembles, such as Wieland Kuijken, Roger Norrington, Pro Cantione Antiqua. Since 1978, he has cooperated as a soloist with Polish Chamber Orchestra conducted by Jerzy Maksymiuk and Orchestra Sinfonia Varsovia conducted by Sir Yehudi Menuhin.
He has made many recordings for radio and television, and recorded on CDs the complete works of F. Couperin and J. Ph. Rameau, sonatas of D. Scarlatti, works by J.J. Froberger, partitas, suites and Goldberg Variations by J.S. Bach.
He is Professor of Harpsichord and Old Music Performances at Universität für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Graz (Austria), he also runs the harpsichord class at the Academy of Music in Warsaw. He is Music Director of the old music ensemble of Musicae Antiquae Collegium Varsoviense. He has prepared scores and music for the first stage performances of all operas by C. Monteverdi and works by G.F. Handel in Poland.
