Lachowicz Dorota

In 1987-93, she studied at the Vocal and Play-acting Department of ???. Se was the prizewinner of the Fifth Ada Sari Competition (1993) and finalist of the Seventh International Julian Gayarre Competition (1998), which was overseen by Jose Carreras as Honorary President.
She gives frequent concerts at the national and international festivals, such as International Festival of Contemporary Music “Warsaw Autumn,” Wratislavia Cantans, Festival of Sacred Music “Gaude Mater” in Częstochowa, International Festival of Telemann’s Music, 17th Festival of Old Music in Warsaw, Ninth Mozart Festival in Spain, Paschal Festival in Warsaw, Wiener Musiksommer, Festival of Polish Culture in Canada, Semaines Chorales in France, Al Bustan International Festival of Music and the Arts in Beirut, Musiksommers Mecklenburg-Vorpommern` 99 (Germany).
Since 1993 she has been a soloist of Warsaw Chamber Opera; she made her debut as Penelope in The Return of Ulysses by C. Monteverdi at the First Baroque Festival (1995) and in the part of Third Lady in W.A. Mozart’s Magic Flute at the Third Festival of Mozart Operas. In 1998, she had her first performance at the Polish National Opera Teatr Wielki in Warsaw as Jadwiga in The Haunted Manor by S. Moniuszko directed by A. Żuławski.
The disc recordings with the participation of the artist include: Missa solemnis and Litania de B.M.V. by W. Dankowski (1994), Polish Carols and Other Christmas Songs (1995), La Liberazione di Ruggiero dall Isola Dalcina by F. Caccini – a Fryderyk nomination (1996), Nelson Mass by J.
