Natalia Pasichnyk - pianist
Natalia Pasichnyk, Ukrainian artist living in Sweden is a renowned concert and chamber pianist.
Natalia Pasichnyk was born in Równe, Ukraine. She received her first piano lessons at the age of 3. Then she attended prodigy children school (1985-1989) in Lwow. She continued musical education at Lvov Conservatory in 1989-1994 and at posgraduate studies at Warsaw Music Academy in Poland. She currently lives in Sweden where she graduated from postgraduate studies at Royal Music Academy in Stockholm with Stefan Schej. She has participated in many competitions and festivals in Europe and the United States and she has been awarded several prestigious scholarships. She won the 2nd prize at the 5th Scandinavian Piano Competition in Nyborg (Denmark) and the 5th prize at Piano Competition in Cincinnatti (USA). In 2000 she was awarded a prestigous Swedish award "Andres Walls Stiftelse".
She has performed as a soloist in various European and American countries with such orchestras, as: Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Evgenij Svietlanov at prestigous Berwald Hall in Stockholm, at Musikhalle in Hamburg with the Mozarteum Orchestra. She has recorded piano music for the Swedish P2 and RBC radio stations and for the TV4.
As a notable chamber musican Natalia Pasichnyk has appeared in Belgium, Spain, Poland and Scandinavian countries. She is a partner for her sister, a singer Olga Pasichnyk. They have recorded two CDs together: with Ukrainian music for a renowned French company OPUS 111 and with songs by Mendelsohn and Dvorak.
