Sadnik Roman

Roman Sadnik studied singing in Vienna with Walter Berry and Hugh Beresford. His spinto tenor and young heroic tenor are valued in opera and his repertoire includes such roles at the Munich Opera, the Vienna State Opera, in Amsterdam, Lyon, Luxembourg, at the Theater an der Wien, in Essen, Leipzig, Zürich, Halle, Innsbruck as well as at festivals in Salzburg, Munich, Athens, Aix-en-Provence, Schwetzingen and Vienna. He has worked with stage directors like Peter Stein, George Tabori, Harry Kupfer, Nikolaus Lehnhof, Thomas Langhoff, Peter Mussbach, and with conductors including Georges Pretre, Michele Plasson, Fabio Luisi, Udo Zimmermann. Numerous CDs and TV productions document his artistic career.
Upcoming engagements include Berg’s Lulu at the Lyon opera, a part at Milan’s La Scala, appearances in Munich (Mendelssohn’s Elias), Passau (Verdi’s Othello ), Hamburg (Verdi’s Requiem), at the Netherlands Opera (Puccini’s La Fanciulla del West) and in the role of Tristan at the Gdansk Opera.
