
Born in Warsaw in 1979. In 2004 he graduated from the Department of Philosophy of the Warsaw University, he studied vocals with Roman Węgrzyn. Four times he performed at the concerts of Jan Kiepura European Festival in Krynica, he appeared in philharmonic halls with the greatest Polish conductors and orchestras. He participated in radio and television programmes. In 2004 he sang in the Three Polish Tenors concert at the Chicago Philharmonic Hall, he was also invited by Bogusław Kaczyński to take part in the concert at Toronto Centre for the Arts. In May 2005, Tadeusz Szlenkier won 1st Prize at the Klassik-Mania International Competition in Vienna. Half a year later he made his debut at Kraków Opera as Alfred in Die Fledermaus of J. Strauss, and he was again invited to take part in the New Year’s Eve gala concert at Sala Kongresowa in Warsaw. In February 2006 he participated in the performance of Giuseppe Verdi’s Requiem at the Konzerthaus in Freiburg (Germany), and in June this year he went on concert tour to Brazil with Freiburg Philharmonics, whereas recently he sang again in Freiburg in Beethoven’s Symphony No.9. In October 2006, Tadeusz Szlenkier made his debut at Teatr Wielki in Poznań, singing King Gustav III in the premiere staging of Verdi’s Un ballo in maschera. Two months later he performed at Opera Nova in Bydgoszcz as Ismaele in Verdi’s Nabucco. In September 2007, Tadeusz Szlenkier commenced postgraduate studies at the vocal department of the Yale University in the USA.
