He has been recognised by critics as one of the most eminent flautists of his generation. He has graduated from Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich (Germany) where he studied under the supervision of a flautist of world's renown, professor Andras Adorjan; and from Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse in Paris in professor Pierre-Yves Artaud's class.
He is a prize winner of all national flute contest in Poland including those held in Warsaw, Olsztyn, Sieradz, Szczecinek, Poznań, Wrocław, and Kielce; and of 16 prestigious international contests such as Jean-Pierre Rampal Flute Competition in Paris (2008), Theobald Boehm Competition in Munich, Germany (2006), Carl Nielsen International Music Competitions in Odense, Denmark (2006), Leonardo De Lorenzo International Flute Competition in Viggiano, Italy (2005), which altogether constitute the most outstanding achievements in Polish history of flute music.
He gives solo and chamber concerts both in Poland and abroad. He has performed in the USA, Japan, Germany, France, Great Britain, Austria, Romania, Ireland, Spain, Portugal and Italy. He cooperates with many renowned European orchestras. He has played under the baton of such masters as Zubin Mehta, Krzysztof Penderecki, James Levine, Mariss Jansons or Helmuth Rilling.
The artist has to his credit numerous recordings of archive material, radio and TV performances and he has released many albums both in Poland and abroad. His releases where appraised highly by Polish and European critics. He has perfected his musical skills at many flute master courses held by James Galway, Peter-Lukas Graf or Aurèle Nicolet. He is also a member of the jury in international flute contests. He holds master courses in Poland, France, Belgium, Italy and Romania.
His outstanding achievements were honoured with a series of prestigious awards: Ministry of Culture award, the Mayor of the City of Wrocław award, Zeit-Preis 2005 (Munich), Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben (Germany), Rosenberg-Stiftung (Germany), Otto Chelius-Stiftung (Germany). National Bank of Poland has sponsored a TV production, which was aired on TVP1 and TV Polonia channels, devoted to the artist.
