Kielce Dance Theatre

Kielce Dance Theatre is one of the three institutional dance theatres in Poland. Initially, it was a private dance company and since 1998 a dance society. On March 1, 2004, Kielce City Council passed a resolution to turn the theatre into a City Institution of Culture, financed by the city.
The theatre prepares performances as well as educational and artistic management projects. Created and led by Elżbieta Szlufik-Pańtak and Grzegorz Pańtak, the theatre made its debut with the performance entitled Feelings, which had its premiere at Jaracz Theatre in Olsztyn (1995).
The management of the Kielce Dance Theatre aims at creating a dance company specializing in jazz dance. Among the 30 projects prepared by the Theatre are performances with symphony orchestra and choir as well as small choreographic forms.
The ensemble cooperated with distinguished artists, such as Zofia Rudnicka, Justyna Steczkowska, Alain Bernard, Jerzy Bielunas, Krzesimir Dębski, Boris Kudlička, Czesław Niemen.
