Warsaw Cellonet Group consists of outstanding Polish cellists, who share the common goal of creative performance. The soloists performing in concert halls, participants of festivals and prize winners of music competitions have combined their experiences to form a group where art and virtuosity make an inextricable union. At the same time, Cellonet Group wishes to cooperate with exceptional artists of the youngest generation, especially with the prize winners of subsequent editions of Lutosławski International Cello Competition, which has been organised in Warsaw since 1997.
Cellonet Group is going to perform not only the works composed in the past but, with the aim of broadening the repertoire for cellist groups, it intends to inspire composers to create new compositions and to co-operate closely with them during preparations for subsequent premieres.
The earliest Cellonet Group concerts, which were enthusiastically received, took place in autumn 2007 at the Fryderyk Chopin Music Academy in Warsaw, during the 17th International Festival of the Young Prize-winning Musicians in Katowice, in Witold Lutosławski Concert Studio of Polish Radio in Warsaw and at the 51st Warsaw Autumn Festival.
