A real outburst occurred after the break. Conductor Paweł Przytocki, who led the Beethoven Academy Orchestra in Vienna, rushed onto the stage and roused the orchestra to play even before he stood properly on the podium. (...) Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 5 in C minor Op. 67 exploded with exceptional symphonic power coupled with excellent separation of orchestral tone. The majestic fanfares of trumpets and trombones, the sensual, marching melodies of strings and then again, strong and ominous screams of the wind instruments – the interpretation of Beethoven's Fifth was simply brilliant. This was appreciated by the audience, which gave the young musicians a long ovation.

Just after a few bars you can hear that the Beethoven’s Academy Orchestra set up in Cracow in 2003 consists of the most talented, young musicians in Poland.

The event was the premiere performance of Candide in Warsaw. An opportunity to perform for mostly young artists, whose number included the Beethoven Academy Orchestra [...] Leonard Bernstein’s Candide is a demanding work. The orchestral part is colourful and varied. It poses great challenges both for the instrumentalists and the conductor. Thus the task set at the University of Technology was a taxing one: to perform such a hard piece by so young a force. The Beethoven Academy Orchestra played bravely and gallantly, playing lightly, with a temper.

Youthful spirit mingled with masterful precision were great in the opening overture “Die Geschöpfe des Prometheus” or in the culmination of the evening - Violin concerto in E Minor by Felix Mendelssohn-Bartholdy, in which our musicians were associated by Korean violinist So-Ock Kim. Maestro Paweł Przytocki who also debuted at the Festival (alumnus of the Cracow Academy) led the orchestra in that great and significant debut. Cracoviennes played finely...
