Chopinomania
sobota, 31 lipca 2010
The Chopinomania cycle consists of three concerts of Chopin’s music performed in public space: the Astronomical Observatory of the Jagiellonian University, middle of the concrete jungle in Warsaw, and The Pier in Sopot. The promotional action preceding the event includes the making of a comic-strip style poster connected to the person of Fryderyk Chopin. The result of this work will be presented in all the three cities. The concerts will include Chopin’s Piano concerto in E minor Op. 11 No. 1, and Piano concerto in F minor, Op. 21 performed by the Beethoven Academy Orchestra under Michał Dworzyński, with the soloist Krzysztof Jabłoński (piano). The exceptional spots selected for presentation will award the project with a particular dimension, and bring about the reaction of the society. The concerts will be held on 29th August (in Kraków), 31st August (in Warsaw), and 2nd September (in Sopot).
